“This is the manner in which bodywork proceeds–first finding the reflex patterns of response that are presently active, then searching for the quality of sensory input that will begin to alter those patterns for the better.” — Deane Juhan, Job’s Body
Elemental Bodyworks Philosophy
Though it can be restorative and even relaxing, bodywork is not a passive experience. At its best, it is a conversation in which the receiverʼs body and mind are encouraged to express themselves, and in which an informed, attentive practitioner listens thoroughly and responds appropriately.
Through real and meaningful engagement, the client and therapist work together to achieve balance and support healing. Wellness is not a destination; it is an exploration, the boundaries of which are limited only by the curiosity and dedication of the participants.
